In the Fall

Another season has passed, and we are all as busy as ever. With the hot days behind us now comes time to refresh the gardens and prepare for rainy days.

Today I would just like to remind everyone that we are all in it together. There are other landscape contractors going through this busy season at the same time and in a similar fashion. Now is the time to connect with others and exchange notes, good and bad, to help each other.

Don’t forget to let our sponsors and advertisers know that you are CLCA members when you purchase from them. They continue to help our chapters, and we want to let them know that we appreciate their support. Let them know this is why you are purchasing from them. If you do not know who our sponsors are, please reach out to me and I will tell you. We are all part of the same association.

Because we are all part of the same association, we encourage participating in events hosted by our neighboring chapters, the Channel Islands chapter and the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley chapter. LA/SGV is holding a Lighting Night on Thursday, September 25. It will be held at the home of Past LA/SGV President Mike Garcia, 5310 Highgrove Street, Torrance. Lighting in and out of water will be showcased. To RSVP and for details call/text LA/SGV V.P. Events Jake Palumbo at (310) 845-6722.

Don’t forget the CLCA State Convention in Sonoma County Wine Country November 5-8. And don’t miss the 2025 Anaheim Landscape Expo November 12-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Soon we will be discussing events for next year and if there is something you would like to see, please reach out. Also, if you are thinking of being more active in the chapter and would like to volunteer for a committee, we would be happy to have you join us.

Thank you all. – Francisco Salazar, 2025 SFV Chapter President
